Earlier in 2018, Well Skelmersdale spent the day with the Birchwood Junk Food Café, as they looked after the residents of Skelmersdale.

Operating from the Birchwood Centre, the Birchwood Junk Food Café receives donations from shops and supermarkets who have produce that they can no longer sell, which they then turn into healthy, nutritious meals on a pay as you feel basis.
