NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) - Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Tuesday 27th September 2016

11:30 am - 3:00 pm

The Evermoor Community Hub - 1 Birleywood, Skelmersdale, WN8 9HR

The AGM will be held on Tuesday 27 September 2016 at the Evermoor Community Hub (1 Birleywood, Skelmersdale, WN8 9HR) from 11.30am (for registration) until 3.00pm and is a chance to learn more about the local NHS and ask questions directly to the management team in a panel style question and answer session.

Dr John Caine, chair of NHS West Lancashire CCG and local GP, said: “Our annual AGM is a great opportunity for our residents to learn more about the highlights and challenges their local NHS has faced from the year gone by and to look at the exciting plans for the year ahead.

“The AGM also provides an opportunity for residents who attend to have any questions and queries that they may have answered by our Governing Body, which consists of clinicians and senior managers within the CCG.”

Once again, this year’s AGM is being run in partnership with the West Lancs CVS as part of the regular Health Network events, which includes market stalls from a number of local community and voluntary sector organisations.

Greg Mitten, chief officer of West Lancs CVS, said: “We’re delighted to be working with West Lancashire CCG with their annual AGM.”

“We’re particularly looking forward to using this event as an opportunity to showcase some of the fantastic community and voluntary groups that are doing some incredible work for the people of West Lancashire.”

Refreshments will be provided on the day. It is therefore essential that places are booked in advance by contacting Vicky Atwood by emailing or by calling advising of any special dietary, sensory and venue accessibility needs.

The CCG will take questions on the day for their panel questions and answers session. However, if any residents would prefer to submit their question in advance, they can do so by emailing .

The CCG’s Governing Body meeting will take place at the same venue earlier in the day at 9.30am. Members of the local community are welcome to attend to observe the board meeting. Questions relating to items on the agenda, which will be published one week prior to the meeting on the CCG’s website, can also be raised by contacting by noon on Monday 26 September 2016. There is also the opportunity for attendees to have an informal discussion with some of the board members following the closure of the meeting.
