Well North Lead for Oldham

As Director of Public Health with Oldham Council, I’m heading the development of council led public health. My particular interests are in cultural change and health, community development as a core public health tool and social enterprise as a public health innovation.

I also lead on tuberculosis, housing and health, and healthy places for Greater Manchester, as part of the Greater Manchester Public Health Network. I’m a member of the Public Health Advisory Committee with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), an advisor to the WAVE Trust, focusing on healthy childhood development, and an advisor to the Cultural Commissioning programme.

Oldham is thrilled to be part of Well North. With love, care and compassion in its terms of reference, it’s a breath of fresh air and has the potential to make us think and work very differently.
