Well Sheffield Programme Manager

I am a local resident with a long professional background in organisational management both in the further education and community sector. My skills are in business and financial management, project development and leading teams of people to achieve positive results in delivering local services.

I am currently Chief Executive of the Trust responsible for the community management of the Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre and currently operate as its manager.

As one of the two part time Well Sheffield Programme Managers, my role is to build on the successful momentum achieved through the re-opening of the Leisure Centre after closure. This includes further development of the Centre and also the adjacent Oxley Park comprising of 40 acres of green field and ancient woodland, to play an increasing role in promoting health and well being opportunities for the local community. This includes working closely with the local People Keeping Well group.

I am passionate about local communities taking responsibility for delivering local solutions to local problems and never cease to be amazed by the often untapped latent talent on our doorstep.

To relax I enjoy walking and cycling in the magnificent surrounding countryside, watching sport, doing crosswords and drinking socially.
