Professor John Earis

Adviser

I trained at London University but have spent most of my working life in the North West. In 1982, I was appointed as a chest physician at University Hospital Aintree, where I led the development of Aintree Chest Centre, which is now well recognised for its clinical innovation and research. In 2007 I was made an Honorary Professor at Liverpool University.

Although now retired from clinical practice, I continue working at Aintree as Director of Medical Education and Undergraduate Sub Dean. In 2013, working with Professor Aidan Halligan, I successfully established the first NHS Staff College campus outside London at the hospital.

At Well North, my role is to advise on a range of clinical matters that will affect the programme and act as ambassador for Well North.
