Sustainable Food Cities Network

Oldham is the latest area to join the UK-wide Sustainable Food Cities Network.

This move recognises Oldham Council’s co-operative approach to healthy eating and positive changes on key food issues, and is supported by Well Oldham.

Oldham Food Network led the application to join Sustainable Food Cities, which helps people and places to share challenges, explore practical solutions and develop best practice in all aspects of sustainable food.

Sustainable Food Cities is an alliance of public, private and third sector organisations focused on using food to improve health and wellbeing, creating new businesses and jobs and reducing our impact on the environment.

Joining the Network helps Oldham bring together residents, communities, partners and organisations to improve fair access to fresh, local, affordable and healthy food.
