A registered public health professional, my career has taken me to areas ranging from diverse urban localities to rural communities. I spent nearly four years as a shared appointment with an inner London local authority.
I was previously Senior Operating Officer at NHS West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group, where I was responsible for addressing health inequalities, strategic planning and broader partnership working. I’ve been leading work focused on health and wellbeing for the community of Skelmersdale, which has resulted in working with a broad range of individuals and organisations on Well Skelmersdale.
I’m committed to raising awareness of the broader determinants of health, inequalities in health and inequity in services across a range of partners and settings to maximise health gain for local communities. This is with a particular focus on communities experiencing the most challenging inequalities in health and wellbeing. I’m passionate about improving health and wellbeing at a community level by working with and for local people to achieve this.
Outside work, my husband Adam and I are kept busy by Bella and Edie, our three-year-old twin daughters.
