Senior Manager, Academic Development and Innovation Team, University of Cumbria

I’m a senior manager in the University of Cumbria’s Academic Development and Innovation team, with over 25 years’ experience in education, workforce development, enterprise, marketing and communications at local, regional and national level. My areas of expertise and interest include stakeholder engagement, work-related learning and leadership coaching in a health and social care context.

As a member of the steering group for Well North’s Well Whitehaven initiative, I bring a deep knowledge and understanding of the education and training landscape, approaches to widening participation and the importance of these aspects of public health and wellbeing improvement.

I’m passionate about enabling personal growth through both formal and informal approaches to learning and development. Outside work I enjoy spending time in my garden, walking my dog and indulging in my hobby of soapcrafting
